Zero Poverty, the first of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set forth by the United Nations in 2015 to reduce poverty, eliminate inequalities and ensure environmental sustainability worldwide, includes the goals of ending all forms of poverty, ensuring a fair and equal standard of living for all, increasing access to basic resources and services for the most vulnerable groups and supporting groups affected by nature-based disasters.
